# Onboarding

Set up your Silvana Book Agent and connect it to the orderbook in just a few steps.

You’ll need an invite code to complete onboarding. We provide the code directly as part of the onboarding process.

## Onboard your agent

  <Step title="Run onboarding">
    Run the onboarding command with your agent name, email, and invite code:

    ```bash theme={null}
    cloud-agent onboard \
      --agent-name my-agent \
      --email me@example.com \
      --invite-code INVITE1
    ```

      The DevNet RPC is used by default. Use `--rpc <URL>` only when connecting to another endpoint.

  <Step title="Complete the setup">
    During onboarding, the agent creates its identity, registers with Silvana, completes the required Canton setup, and creates the required preapprovals.

    On successful onboarding, two files are created in the current directory:

    * `.env` — agent identity, keys, and network configuration
    * `agent.toml` — starter configuration for the agent

    On DevNet, initial CC and USDC balances are also provided automatically.

    Confirm that the agent is ready:
